Girl Talk has been such an amazing reassurance and a way to get a good group of girls together and not only talk through Bible studies but to grow real connections with the girls and talk through experiences that they are struggling with that I had also been through! Girl Talk has shown me how the Lord is truly so intentional with the situations He allows to happen in our lives to be able to equip us to also be intentional with these girls!
Kiss the Wave
Our relationship with Jesus should be our first thought, our first go to, our first strength, our first response, our first choice. Our relationship with Jesus is for everything to flow from and for everything to flow into. Walking WITH Jesus is our lifeline. When today is a struggle, crawl into your space with Him, kiss the wave that slammed you into The Rock and thank God Jesus is the Rock and not shifting sand. And stand there in Him.

Girl Talk has really helped to pull my entire family together. After I come home from GT, my family is always so eager to hear what was discussed and what I took away from it!… Girl Talk has brought my mom and I closer as well! Thank You, Daddy! Thank You, Jesus! Thank You, Holy Spirit! For all that You have been, all that You are and all that You will be!

Celebrating 10 Years of Girl Talk Ministries!
10 years ago on May 12, 2013, a summer Bible study of 20 girls and 20 moms met in a living room in Pike Road, Alabama. Over the last decade, we have seen hundreds of girls every summer gather for missions, Bible studies and paint fights across Alabama and beyond. Thank you to every mom, dad, girl, every family who has opened their homes to us over the years. Every prayer, every gift of support, every ounce of trust you have given us as we walk this calling with God. We never want to be anywhere else and you have made that possible.

Today's "Where I Am Now" series features Anna Clemmons. Anna is a senior at The University of South Alabama studying psychology and she will graduate in December. She then hopes to get her Master's in Mental Health Counseling. She is from Montgomery, Alabama and the daughter of Greg and Leigh Clemmons. She graduated from Alabama Christian Academy in Montgomery, Alabama in 2019. Anna grew up the same church Amy Cate attended and it has been a joy to watch Anna grow. Anna attended the first ever Girl Talk going into 6th grade and has been such a sweet part of our ministry ever since.

First in our "Where I Am Now" series is Cami Phillips. Cami just graduated from Mississippi College in Social Studies Education and will begin her first job this fall, teaching 7th grade and coaching volleyball in Starkville, Mississippi. (Hail State!) Cami is from Pike Road, Alabama and the daughter of Matt and Camille Phillips. She graduated from Eastwood Christian School in Montgomery, Alabama in 2018 where she attended from first grade.

Fall In Love With Jesus
The phenomenon of today, the day after giving thanks for all we have being the day we fight people in stores, is nothing new. Though, this year inevitably is much calmer, possessions can easily make their way into the pressing matters of our mind.
The Idol of Image
Had I made this an idol? And if I had, was this consuming my identity? As I searched my heart, Holy Spirit filled me with His Peace. Then it later hit me, it was not about me. Our culture has made marriage the idol. The goal. The image. Our identity. In influencer couples. The beautiful photo shoots. The Pinterest boards and perfect wedding. The end all be all to happiness and satisfaction and worth. Our identity is not our relationship status.
Together We Are Whole
Every lie that the enemy has told you fails in comparison to The Truth. In the dark. In the light. In the quiet. In the surrounded. In the struggle. In the victory. The enemy knows where to hit you hardest and I know it is not always in the quiet and in the alone. It is everywhere.
Choosing Him
Last week in my bible study we talked about our chief responsibility. My co-leader reminded us Jesus told the disciples to “go out a make disciples of all nations.” (Matthew 28-19)
As moms it is our privilege and responsibility to disciple our children and “train up a child in the way he should go so that when he is older he will not depart from it.” (Proverbs 22:6) We love these babies and want them to have the best! Jesus is the best so let’s do it!
