God fortifies our children...

Parenting is scary. We get it.

What if we mess up?
What if the world messes them up?
What if they get in with the wrong crowd?
What if they are ruined forever?

But there is one central theme throughout the Bible:
When we seek first His Kingdom and His Righteous.
When we delight ourselves in Him. When we commit our ways to Lord.

He will give us all we need.
He will give us the desires of our heart.
He will do it.

That is for you too, mama! That is for your babies! When we choose to make God our fortress, He fortifies our children.

In 1 Samuel 13, Saul decided he would take matters into his own hands. And what happened? Not only was the throne taken from him, but his son did not inherit the throne. He jumped in to save the day, just like so many times we as moms jump in to the save the day for our children, and we take away the opportunity for our children to learn to trust the Lord.

To see His Goodness for themselves.
To see Him working for them.
To receive His kindness that leads to repentance.

We can trust God.
Even with our children.

We can trust Him in the hardest situations.
We can teach them to trust Him with everything.

And, thankfully, he is faithful even when we mess up. Even when we fail miserably. When our kids mess up. He loved us first, right?

Thankfully, “But, God”.

Momma, don’t ever give up.
Not on them, not on yourself, not on God.

Keep showing up and loving your people. They need it as much as you do. We all need those mercies that are new every morning.

“Commit your way to the Lord; trust in Him and He will do this: He will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn, your vindication like the noonday sun.” Psalm 37‬:‭5‬-‭6‬
