January + Jesus + John | John 3
John 3:27-30 John knows his purpose John knows who Jesus is
Because John kept his perspective and his purpose in view of Jesus, he had no room for jealousy. He had no reason to compare. Even when they came to him in a roar to compete, John did not want what was not his because his purpose remained in Who Jesus is.
Knowing this, knowing our joy is complete in Who Jesus is, we can confess our sin to the One Who sees our all and acknowledge our flesh in wanting and wishing and comparing and competing. And in all of this, because we know Who Jesus is, we can acknowledge that we know Jesus is enough. Ask Him to give you more of Him and satisfy all your desires. He is what we want. When we remain in Him, He is enough in us and our propose is in Him daily. To live and breathe Glory for His Kingdom.
“Remain in Me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in Me.” John 15:4
