He is STRONG
Once again, so much to post but no time to do it.
A lot of thinking has been going on and I have just been in a funk since Collier Ann passed away. Since August, Jordan Northington, an inspiration to so many, lost her battle to cancer and went to be with our Lord and Savior. She has been fighting for a long time and it brought up a lot of familiar feelings from losing my dad to cancer. Cancer is such a nasty disease and I pray so much that they will find the cure soon! In these last three months, cancer took two other precious souls. Adopted grandparents of mine throughout my life, Maw and Biggs! It’s just a horrible disease. This past week was Thanksgiving and it was wonderful to be with family and friends and relax. But early Thanksgiving morning, a 16 year old known and loved by many in our community, Gray Godwin went duck hunting at many of ours favorite place, Lake Martin and never came home. As Black Friday came and the Iron Bowl rolled around Saturday, it just didn’t feel right to be buying things I didn’t need and to be getting so worked up over a petty little game. I am a huge football fan and yes I believe in Auburn and love it! But so many families are hurting this holiday season and it’s so hard to be heavy hearted for them. I’ve been there and I know how long the road is. I pray they hold on to Christ and let Him take them through. Thank God He is strong so we don’t have to be!
