Girl Talk Update!

Hey Girl Talk family, it's Amy! I am so sorry for another long post. So many of you have reached out wanting to know how things are going, so I just wanted to get on here and take a minute with all of you. I still wish we were sitting across the table with some coffee. Soon we will!

First, thank you so much for caring and asking and praying for me and for Girl Talk. It means so much! This has been a hard but sweet time of walking with Jesus knowing He is not panicked. He is not surprised. I love hearing from y'all and knowing you are praying. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! Please keep connecting with us and praying with us.

I have had many days grieving and many moments of fear wondering what Girl Talk will look like, but ultimately I know God is in control and He has not abandoned us and He has not changed.

Early in the fall as He began the process of expanding Girl Talk, I watched where the Lord was leading and providing in so many ways. If you've followed along in our videos and most recently our Facebook Lives, you have met Lindsey. She's come alongside me to help in ministering to our amazing moms and it has been so much fun.

Pretty much without skipping a beat, the Lord clearly showed us He purposely put us together. For so many reasons, in so many ways. Right now, I am amazed the Lord knew this time would come, where we would be "social distancing" and gathering together would be paused. He has shown me in so many ways how He had all of this so I would not be in it alone. In these times of videos and all things, I cannot imagine life or Live Streaming without her. So I am thankful the Lord not only put us together, but I was with her when this quarantine crazy happened and she wanted me to stay. We'll see how long that lasts She pushes me out my comfort zone, makes all things fun, prays at all times and challenges me to know Christ more and be better in every way.

"Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up... Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken." Ecclesiastes 4:9-12

The last seven years of Girl Talk have been blood, sweat, tears, laughter, love and a whole lot of fun! There have been many times over the years I thought I would give up and walk away from Girl Talk forever. Other things seemed a lot easier to pursue. "It was just a small summer Bible study anyway." I am thankful my God is bigger than I thought and He has not given up!

I am so thankful He is not done. At the end of February, 1 Thessalonians 5:24 was prayed over me and I have been clinging to it the last couple of days. "He Who called you is faithful; He will do it." I believe this now more than ever. In this season, I have had moments of panic wondering how we will get through this. I think there are a lot of blood, sweat, tears, laughter, love and a whole lot of fun still to be had!

During this time, I am committed to meeting with our girls as much as I can with zoom, FaceTime and texting. We are keeping our schedule for all meetings, we have just moved all to Live and Zoom. I am writing and working on Bible studies to publish and for our study this summer. Lindsey and I both plan to write more for the blog and Facebook and do videos as often as we can. I am working on getting our website updated and keeping it updated and functional for this time. Many moms have also reached out asking me to do a daily devotional video and I want to start that in April. If you would like to talk to me more about what I am doing to keep Girl Talk going or ideas you have, please reach out to me!

Thank you for walking with me. Thank you for loving, caring, praying and supporting me and Girl Talk. I could not do this without you. I really couldn't. From the bottom of my heart. So many of you have asked how to financially support, PayPal.me/girltalkministries is always ready and right now, we have a Quarantine T-Shirt for sale (www.customink.com/fundraising/girl-talk-quarantine), additional donations can be made through the t-shirt page as well.

Thank you so much! I love you. We will gather again. We will Girl Talk again. Until then, lean in deep. Dig deeper. And trust the Lord in all things. Seek FIRST His Kingdom and His Righteousness and all these things [you worry about] will be provided for you. Matthew 6:33

I am always here for you. If you have any questions or want to talk about anything, please know you can always talk to me.

Praying for all our medical heroes, all those infected and all those at risk.
